Holiday Girl

Holiday Girl

"Holiday Girl" by Kshiraki is a soundtrack to the 'chillest Mode 7 SNES racing game' never made. These nine tracks are perfect for staring out of a window and daydreaming. Kshiraki is an electronic artist from Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan with a sassy, sophisticated sound and a charming back catalogue. This is some sunny afternoon pack-a-picnic-and-hold-hands-with-your-homies type shit. Applying jazz fundamentals to chiptune compositions has always been a winning formula. The precise and deliberate constraints in which tracker music is made make riffing on a square wave inherently interesting. Favourite tracks: "Morning Sun" and "Train Travel".  FFO: Derris-Kharlan, Keiji Tamagishi and Elektrobear.  Find more of their music below!  kshiraki2.bandcamp.com

Wonder Underground

Wonder Underground

Multi genre artist ぷにぷに電機 aka punipunidenki aka Puniden creates music spanning a wide range of influences but what remains consistent throughout every release is a sense of elegance. A good example can be seen in Puniden's collaboration with vapor legend ミカヅキBIGWAVE on the "MIRAI addiction" EP just a few months prior to the release we are here to discuss. "Wonder Underground" is a latin jazz inspired 4 song EP with outstanding vocal work and warm playful instrumentals. Bedroom pop and breathy bossa...

Goddess of the Hollow

On April 14th, multi genre electronic producer City Girl dropped two full length releases in one day, "Sirens of the Formless" and "Goddess of the Hollow". While similar at a glance these releases differ wildly in execution and overall tone. Sirens of the Formless is laid back and sexy with percussive loops that do a perfect job of driving the songs forward without ever once overshadowing the melody work.  Goddess of the Hollow sees the return of long time collaborative partner tiffi, a singer/ songwriter from Sydney, Australia, who provides some very charming vocals on tracks 2, 3 and 7. These tracks, while fun and sparkly, are also dark...
